Pep talk

Children are fascinating to watch, as they carry on with their innate ability to imagine, creating a world so real and original to them with their imagination. The boys imagining driving police cars, while the girls playing the imaginary mom & care giver. You see, while they imagine, they make effort to put their creativity into use as they built these cars and prepare meals with objects they find around them.

Interestingly, the act of dreaming and imagining things follows us into our adulthood, but where most of us miss it is the part where we're supposed to connect it to our creativity (like children), by using the tools around us to transform our dreams into reality. Dreams are like ideas, as crazy and as ridiculous as they may seem, they only appear that way because they're in their discovery stages and may not look like anything close to the final product, but when they are subjected to "refining and processing", the bigger picture becomes clearer and appreciated.

The opinions of observers to our dreams can either be dream killers or the encouragement that we seek in our quest to bring those dreams and seemingly lofty ideas to fruition.

I also want to encourage us as parents to pay close attention to our children. We have a role to play in helping them identify their giftings and talents early (it makes it easier for them, before they transition into adulthood), which may go on to eventually become careers for them.

There's a child in every man and in every woman, whether it's the naughty/mischievous one or the playful/innocent one.

Happy Children's Day!
